John B. Muns is the Mayor of Plano, Texas, elected in 2021 and reelected in 2025. A lifelong Plano resident and 1978 graduate of Plano Senior High School, he holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Abilene Christian University and previously worked as vice president of Wyatt Cafeterias and general partner at Muns Enterprises. Prior to becoming mayor, he served 16 years on the Plano Independent School District Board and on the city's Economic Development Board.
